The inaugural ceremony of ISUD and the launch of the India@100 series took place on the 30th of September, 2023 at the School of Excellence in Law. This was initiated to create a vibrant platform for law students to explore constitutional and contemporary issues, promoting a deeper understanding and engagement within the legal fraternity.

The ceremony commenced with a welcome address by Aswin Suren, president of ISUD, who highlighted the society’s mission to transcend traditional legal education by fostering critical discussions on pressing legal and societal issues. This was followed by a felicitation address by Dr. Ranjith Oomen Abraham, who emphasized the Vice Chancellor’s vision to cultivate socially and politically aware legal professionals through such forums.

Mr. Guru Krishnakumar delivered a thought-provoking address on the art of effective communication, sharing real-life examples to inspire budding legal minds. In a special address, Hon’ble Justice M. Sundar reflected on the limitations of his time as a law student, expressing optimism about today’s opportunities for meaningful dialogue and growth.

 

LAUNCH OF THE INDIA@100 SERIES:

A major milestone of the ceremony was the official launch of the India@100 series and the unveiling of its logo by Hon’ble Justice M. Sundar, Mr. Guru Krishnakumar, Col. Prof. Dr. N.S. Santhosh Kumar, and Dr. Ranjith Oomen Abraham. The series was introduced as a platform for holistic insights into complex legal and societal challenges. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Rasika, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to all dignitaries, participants, and organizers for their contributions in making the inaugural ceremony a resounding success.
